
The archaeologists are on their way to excavate new mysterious in Mexico City, and have recently found a shrine and an obelisk probably dates back to the kingdom of Motecuhzoma I (1440-1469) in Aztec main temple, Templo Mayor, near mexico City’s central Zocalo Square.
According to archaeologists, this mammoth statue (3.5-meter) was dedicated to Aztec rain god Tlaloc. Some archaeologists are nourishing a belief that it might be a portal to enter in the underground chamber, as it is not still unearth completely. However, this new finding is highly praise worthy. In near future, we can assume that more unsolved mysteries would be divulged.
Talking about this latest discovery archaeologist Leonardo Lopez Lujan said:
This is a really impressive and exceptional Aztec monolith.
