I’m sure you all know about Manchester International Festival which will be celebrated in the English city of Manchester from 28 June to 15 July, 2007. To celebrate the start of this festival, a funky Virgin train designed by Gorillaz artist Jamie Hewlett in collaboration with graffiti artist Chu has been unveiled on Monday.

This is a 217 meter train that will travel between London and Manchester four times a day, taking festival goers to the event. The train is wrapped with nine carriages which are illustrated with over 90 images and unique characters, based on the opera ‘Monkey: Journey to the West’.

It’s based on an ancient Chinese legend and the music has been composed by Hewlett’s partner in the cartoon band, Damon Albarn.
