Grand Canyon Sky walk is a paragon of technology and it is bigger then you can ever imagine. I was thrilled as soon as I came to know that this grand U-shaped walkway stretches 70 feet over the edge of four thousand feet large Canyon. Moreover, it is capable of carrying weight of 71 fully loaded Boeing 747 airplanes (more that 71 million pounds).
The most important thing that I found about this Sky Walk is that the strong gusts of monster storms that moves with 100 miles per hour speed are unable to detriment it. More than one million pounds of steel is required for its construction. The glass bridge is balanced 1220 meter above the Colorado River of Hualapaia, nation of American Indians.
So if you intend to explore on the worlds biggest gorge from Sky walk then you will have to wait for the end of this year.

We are spending the week in Las Vegas on a Family Vacation and had planned on visting the Grand Canyon Sky Walk today (April 24, 2007). We were very disappointed!! You turn off on to a narrow rocky 21 mile dusty dirt road to get to the Sky Walk. Wish I could attach the video that I took of the road, it is just unbelievable that anyone with a brain the size of a pea would ever invest the money to build an attraction that is so remote that you believe it just can not be ”for-real” that you are on the right road to anything of value. I have been on roads in Vietnam 40 years ago that were better than this road. Ok, enough for the road, it will have to be paved for the Sky Walk to succeed. Now let’s talk about the the cost to visit the Sky Walk. We were told by the Locals that there is a $49.00 Trespass Fee to enter the Indian Reservation and a $25.00 fee to walk on the Sky Walk, which you MUST pay to see the Grand Canyon becaude the ENTIRE area is fenced, making you pay the fee. Now I have been to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park several times and am sorry that we did not go back there today. The part of the Sky Walk that mad us to upset today, was the $49.00 Trespass Fee, you only have to wonder why they call it a Trespass Fee. It is my understanding that Trespassing is a Misdeamnor and if you are paying for trespassing that must mean that you are breaking the Law and therefore if you get an injury while on the property, the Indians have no Liability, very interestin, but what is really intresting, NO WHERE, but here, will you find in print, anything about the $49.00 Trespass Fee.
