
The government of Australia has again issued a warning of not traveling to East Timor. A police officer was killed and hundred people arrested in a town south west of Dili, in a violent turbulence. The government’s decision came after the incident. It further says that the other part of the country is also not safe.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT)of Australia confirms about the high level of tension in East Timor. It warns for a possibility of politically motivated violence in the country in future. The DFAT further warns on its website that Australians can be trapped in the violence as the situation can be changed without any notice.
