Considering the following presidential and parliamentary elections due to be held on 30 July 2006 and the problems to be generated because of the rallies and demonstration by the people in Congo, the Foreign Office of UK amended its travel advice for the Democratic Republic of Congo against all travel to north eastern and eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), including make an entry to DRC from Uganda and Rwanda.



The move has been taken keeping in view of the constant lawlessness and insecurity in these areas, the office has also warned of the individual who poses as plain-clothes police and rob the travelers off their precious belongings.
