Having set a landmark in developing the world’s most luxuroius man-made islands, Dubai is now moving ahead to become a vanguard in skyscrapers by making the world’s tallest tower named ‘Burj Dubai’. ‘Burj Dubai‘ will probably be taken as the new identification of Dubai. According the prior information, it is expected to be a bit more than 700 meters tall and will comprise 160 stories. However, the makers (Emaar) are not divulging its actual heights. Well, this mammoth structure already has 79 stories and every week two new story are being added. Burj Dubai will be the center of attraction of the new district “Downtown Burj Dubai’. Around 30,000 apartments and the world’s largest shopping mall are under consideration in this 20-billion-dollar grandiose project.
For your kind info, I’d like to say that presently “Taipei 101” in Taiwan, is the world’s tallest inhabited building, which is 508 meters (1,666 feet) tall and after the completion of Burj Dubai in 2008 as it is presumed, will hold the title of the ‘world’s tallest tower’. Though the Guinness book of world records will have to review for records.
