The Sydney Opera House
Forbes Traveler website has voted Sydney’s iconic Opera House as one of the world’s top tourist attractions. It is the only attraction in the Southern Hemisphere with more than four million annual visitors.
Times Square in New York topped the list with an estimated 35 million visitors while Trafalgar Square (No. 4) is the most popular attraction outside North America. Paris featured seven attractions, the most from any one city.

The shopping centers and religious pilgrimage sites, such as Mecca were excluded from the list. Although some religious sites such as Notre Dame Cathedral and the Vatican were included for their cultural significance.
