A presentation titled ‘How to Travel Safely at High Altitude’ is going to be hosted by Dr.Andrew Luks, a Seattle physician, who has engrossed himself with the Rescue Association in Nepal. All the volunteers of all ages have been welcomed at Carkeek Park and Golden Gardens Park in Seattle, the Beaver Lake Preserve in Sammamish, Seahurst Park in Burien and PAWS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Lynnwood.
The volunteers are expected to root out insidious plant species, native vegetation and plant trees, and even clean up beaches and reconstruct hiking trails. A slide show titled ‘The Last Descent on the Mighty Yangtze River’ will also be presented by Tom O’Keefe. He will be discussing a kayaking trip made by him, before closing the passage through China’s Three Gorges Dam.
