michaelMicheal Fernandes , a Londan based Goan finally fulfilled his father’s dream of going on a world trip . Sadly his father is no more to see this, but I am sure there are lots of people who would like to congratulate him .



This mania started in 2001 when he had to change many trains to travel from England to Shanghai. And from then on he hasn’t stopped. Way back in2002 he had completed Mexico to Artic circle road trip covering 40,000 kilometres.



But the fever hasn’t left him . Recently he along with Vince Veelan went on a 33 days road trip from London to Goa in his 1992 Citreden Bx Diesel vehicle covering 15,000 kilometres. And passed through France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia Monte Negro, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan along the way.



This travel freak even speaks French, Arabic, Thai, Italian, German , Hindi and is now currently hoping to master Konkani before he settles down in Goa.



Good news is that he is planning to write a travel book based on his experience so that fellow Indians can imbibe his love for the sport and recommends Liquor baron Dr Vijay Mallaya - a car collector himself - to organize India-London car rally to set the trend.
