
The 8,363-foot MOUNT ST. HELENS in Washington has recently reopened for the tourists. This most admired climb was closed since September 2004, due to the frequent eruptions.
It has been declared that climbing to MOUNT ST. HELENS is no more risky, as the volcano has already settled and the continuously extruding lava has low gas content which does not make climbing dangerous.
The Forest Service will remain watchfulness and suggested climbers to carry basics like map, compass, water, ice ax, sunglasses for eye safety, climbing helmet.
The whole south ways of the mountain is being reopened to hikers, as are paths through the blast zone on the north side.
To climb above the tree line requires Permission and will cost $22 per head.
