New York City is endowed with lots of places to venture for the travelers. This State has plethora of unique places of beauty and matchless miscellany of landscapes. But this time we are going to take you to some cultural tour of New York. The itinerary will comprise of some of the more famous museums and Islands.



1)The Long Island - One needs to book in advance for traveling through a ferry to this island. Traveling through ferry is the best way to venture this place. A complete trip takes almost eight to twelve hours on the ferry and road.



2)The Mather House Museum- It is situated in Port Jefferson at Prospect St., within walking distance from the docks. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays it, opens between July 2 to Sept. 11, timings-1 to 4 p.m.



3)The Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum- In summers it opens for all days in a week and timings are from 11a.m to 5 p.m. tickets are available for $5 for adults, $4 for students and entry is free for children under five and family charges are $15.



4)The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum- Open for public from May through November regularly from10 a.m. to 5 p.m., it opens from 1 to 5p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are available for $5 per adults, $3 for seniors, free for kids under 12.



5)Seaport Museum and Marine Foundation- It is an historical museum at Greenport’s East end. In summer, it’s open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays it remains closed and tickets are available for $2 per head, while entry is free for children under ten.
