Those who are internet freaks prefer booking their air tickets, reservation of hotels via net rather than through a middle man. Hits on Airline and hotel websites are increasing with each passing day.



A US based firms which monitors millions of internet users says that the trend of booking directly with hotels and airlines is grabbing pace and why not as the user is just required to pay to the online agent that’s it.



Even its kind of unbelievable for Graeme Wood, head of online accommodation firm Wotif.com, that this trend is becoming popular in Australia as well as the scene there is much different from the one in US. He says unlike US they have very less margin and the hotels here consider them their friends instead of enemies. He further added that the hits on their sites have increased by 42% in comparison with last one year.



But publicist of Totaltravel.com Paul Fisher, gives another reason for this,. He says people have become more smart and are looking for better fares which resulted in popularity of Online Bookings. He says that from the total visitors in the last month on their site nearly 45% took an initiative to click through featured supplier website, for saving a contact number or sending an email to a supplier
