The national zoo’s mega project Asia Trail exhibit and giant panda habitat in Washington will be made public on next week. Earlier it had to be open last week. According to the zoo officials, it required more time for panda and other animals to acclimatize themselves in new habitat.
Giant pandas, red pandas, sloth bears, fishing cats and other Asian animals will be new members of this six acres zoo. This is surly a glad tiding for the visitors, who in the past were got a glimpse at a distance, now can get a much closer look of these animals.
Asia Trail is the largest improvement project at the zoo in 40 years and with a huge investment of $53 million, Spokesman John Gibbons said.
