The heir apparent of Qatar monarch, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani revealed a new law for the traveling agencies concerning the industry working environment and rules and regulations they should follow. This new law is very positively accepted by the travel industry.
As the growing number of travel agency in every corner of a city is the main matter of concern for the industry as in the absence of the laws many time allowed agencies to do what ever they want to which leads non professionalism for example some fly-by-night operators function with just a desk and chair and which did not augur well for the industry and for the consumers as well.
According to the new law, the license will be issued only to experience Qataris and GCC citizens. If an agency is not performing for 3 months then the agencies license may be cancelled. Moreover the existing agencies also require fulfilling the rules and this has to be done within six months period.
