Rosslyn Chapel
Reality at Rosslyn Chapel is far-flung from the depiction in Dan Brown’s hit thriller, ‘The Da Vinci Code’ but even then, the novel is considered as a welcome boost for a church, which is in dire need of repair.

According to the novel, the medieval stone, which is perched in gentle fold of the Pentland hills outside Edinburgh, may be the depository of the fabled Holy Grail, and with it the secret of whether Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene were the founder of a dynasty.

Many of the visitors are still doubtful of its theories, but even devoid of that, this is a mesmerizing and spiritual place, dragging visitors towards it. In the hope of swelling the number of visitors, $ 54,000 has been invested by VisitScotland, the official tourist agency, objectively to promote it the destination in North America.

In the year 2005, 117,000 visitors were hosted by Rosslyn and it is expected that it will go up to 145,000. The architecture within is prettily gorgeous, and if it is not saved then the day is not far when it will come to the ground.
