This time we would like to introduce some interesting historical particulars of ancient art works of some Latin American artists which are preserved in some of the museums in United States. These museums not only preserve the great historical period of U.S but also promote the ancient culture.



El Museo del Barrio, New York - El Museo del Barrio museum contains some eight thousand pieces of art objects varying form pre Columbian ceramics to furniture setups from Pepon Osorio. This museum is basically dedicated to Latin American and Caribbean art.



Many exhibition also keep on happening here, this season two special exhibitions will bw shown here.This summer, El Museo is featuring two special exhibitions.



It opens on Wednesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission fees: adults $6, students and seniors $4, members and children younger than 12 free.



Art Museum of the Americas, Washington, D.C. - In earlier period, it was familiar as art gallery and in 1976 it extended into a Museum. It contains art works of some well known artists of Latin America and Caribbean like by Carlos Cruz-Diez and Alejandro Obregon. There is no entrance fee and it opens on Tuesday to Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free.





Museo de las Americas, Denver - it has two permanent collections of the Ancient Art of the Americas and Art of the People that explains Latin American folk art. Now days This museum is conducting an exhibition called “Heaven and Earth,” to show the Old World and New World visuals that has links in Mexican art from 1521 to 1850. The exhibit, is last till Oct. 8.



Open Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, noon-5 p.m. Admission fees: adults $4, students and seniors $3, children younger than 12 and members free.



National Hispanic Cultural Center, Albuquerque, N.M.- The specialty of this museum is, along with the collection of art work and a gyratory series of unique exhibits, they also organize variety cultural events of dance, music and theater. It also props up educational research in its rare-books library.



Open on Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission: $3 adults, $2 seniors, children younger than 16 free.



Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum, Chicago
- This museum consists of some modern Art works and some relic from Pre-Columbus time. The most distinguished objets of the museum is the photographs and drawing works of Mayan monuments.



Presently the museum is exhibiting “The African Presence in Mexico: From Yanga to the Present,” archives African association in Mexico’s history, from the establishment of Yanga, the first free African township in the Americas in 1609, through modern times.



Opens on Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. No admission fee require.
