Neither it is a gift-wrapping nor is it a ribbon of school going girl. This glittering thing is the roof of Hotel Marques De Riscal in Alava, Spain. Renowned architect, Frank O. Gehry, has designed this paragon in order to give a new dimension to the traditional image of winery regions in Spain.
Made of mirror-finished stainless steel, the rose, silver and gold saturated plates represent the leaves and branches of a grapevine. It took eight years for construction and cost a whopping $88 million . Inaugurated on 10th of October, this amazing piece of architecture blends contemporary and traditional looks. Along with the main structure, auxiliary buildings have two restaurants and 43 modern suites consisting diverse interiors. Well, at the end I hope that you would surely wish to unleash this ribbon.
