This year ‘The city of smile‘, Bacolod will celebrate its world famous fiesta Masskara. It is scheduled to be held on the third weekend of October, closest to October 19. Throughout the week, thousands of people throng here to watch and participate in this mega event. Colorful costumes and smiling masks are the chief enchanting segments of mascara.
This time carnival will commence with Miss Masskara Beauty Pageant followed by Masskara Festival Street dance competition, food fairs, contests, brass band competitions, drinking and eating contests in different categories. All visitors will certainly find something to satisfy thier whims and you can test your luck in mask-making contests, disco king and, coconut milk drinking.
Bacolod City is the Capital of Negros Occidental in Philippines. It is also famous for its heritage culture; aged churches that were built during Spanish regime.
