Europe

The creation of a single European market for air transport at the end of the 1990s enables budget travel in Europe which in turn revolutionized lives of Europeans.

A flight from Dublin to Paris

$55 now, $600 in 1990 .

A two-hour flight from London to Bratislava only $72 round trip.

Stephen Hogan, spokesman for the Brussels-based Airports Council International said ,

It has democratized flying

Burridge a budget traveller said ,
The prices are so low that it can be more expensive to stay home.

Some are even buying second homes in other countries as frequent travel is now possible. Euro commuters are increasing immensely. Lots of Europeans are even working in foreign countries and returning to their native countries on weekend.

Some Britons are even flying to Hungary, for quality, affordable dental care .The added cost of care and flight being lower than one at home.

Millions of people, especially in Britain, Ireland and Germany, fly off on weekends for “city breaks” in other countries . Some off-peak tickets are now offered for as low as $25 on popular routes .

In spite of the criticism about over crowding and culture invasion this step will work wonders to create a better and a friendlier Europe.
