The U.S. Tour Operators Association has chosen Southeast Asia as the hottest up-and-coming area for budget traveler.
Industry experts say that the frequent falling of the dollar against the euro and the British pound may also be another cause for American travelers to search out for alternate destinations and the destinations like Singapore have gained a new appeal.
Asia apart, river cruises in Europe are among the other hottest new trends in travel, while changes in passport regulations and a growing consciousness of environmental concerns may also affect where and how people vacation in 2007.
