It is a great moment of joy for an adventurer when he reaches the crest of ‘Horseshoe Bend’ because it gives him the feeling as if he has conquered the whole world. I think to reach this place is not less a big venture.

Emerald-green Colorado River takes a twist like that of a big serpent, Which is more than a thousand feet below the towering rock, swinging first to the east, then curving back to the west.

Located near the town of Page, Arizona, slightly downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell and it is accessible via a 1/2-mile hike from US 89, forming a spectacular vista. The vermillion colored giant cliffs, green river and blue sky is capable of Goosebumps of any sightseer. In sort, I tend to say that watching this panoramic view is a lifelong experience.

Photographers: don’t forget to carry a wide-angle lens and a polarizing filter. But be aware that there are no fences at the overlook, so watch your step carefully.
